Online Source for High Quality Hay
Are you looking for the best source of Timothy Hay for your guinea pig? Timothy hay can be found prepackaged in pet stores and online from a variety of vendors. Previously I was linking visitors to Amazon for packaged hay and otherwise suggesting local farms, or farm supply stores. Now I have found an online source for the freshest Timothy Hay from American Pet Diner. This is not an affiliate link and I do not make any money off of this recommendation. This Timothy hay is excellent for bedding and eating.

What is Timothy Hay anyways?
Timothy hay is the most recommended hay for guinea pigs. Timothy hay is just a type of grass that originates from Europe and came to the United States along with settlers. Timothy hay is named for Timothy Hanson, a farmer who was the first to promote its cultivation. Timothy hay is high in fiber and commonly used also as food for rabbits, chinchillas, horses, and cattle.
Is This Just for Food?
No! Timothy hay also makes a great bedding. Consider layering it on top of an absorbent bedding like careFresh. Timothy hay is nice and soft AND easily tunnel-able for your guinea pig.
